New Crash Helmet

I'm a recent returnee to the world of 2 wheels & have been getting some new kit over the last few days. The last purchase was a new lid & on Saturday I visited George White in Swindon fully intending to buy another Arai.

However after trying on loads of different makes in the showroom I decided on a HJC. I hadn't heard of them before but apparently they are the largest helmet manufacturers in the world. The FS10 model i bought is ACU Gold standard, made from carbon fibre & very light. All for £249 - compare that to an Arai/Shoei. Most importantly its feels very comfortable & quiet. Alll in all I'm very impressed & if you are after a new lid I would recommend you try one.

Cheers

Ian

I wouldn't be without my Craft RX6 Evolution.
With dark visor of course

Surprisingly its the best helmet I've ever had, although it can be a bit noisy.

Unfortunately not, but the young lady that served me was very good & wouldn't sell me anything that didn't fit properly.

The guys in the Honda showroom were friendly & allowed me to have a look at the new Fireblade in a side room. I think it's released next week. It's very small, very light, with hardly any graphics & looks the dogs in black

Same price as my Arai..apart from the extreme ends of the price spectrum, I reckon the protection is much of a muchness although Arai's always seem to fair better than most and I've always bought (2 x AGV, then Shoei, 2 x Arai) on the basis of comfort on my odd shaped swede...
