Prestige Vehicle Hire

My younger sister has her school prom in July, and she and her boyfriend are going along with myself and her best mate. She is looking for a comfortable and stylish way to arrive, and has decided she doesn't like limos, as they are tacky and flashy.

Her current plan is she wants me to drive everyone there in some sort of big convertible, apparently a black audi, although a BMW or Merc will, and I quote, 'do'.

I've found a couple of places on the web who will only offer such cars to over 30's - being as I am only 21, this poses a problem! Does anyone

a) Know if I am chasing a dead end trying to find such a vehicle for the evening at my age
b) Know anyone/is anyone I should call?

Dont mention chelsey

Be careful Jimbo or you will have several ageing beauties offering to take her home for you!!!!
Wouldnt worry about the age thing and driving. Most of these "older Gentlemen" with sagging beer bellys would more than swop the ponce little sports car for your youth. Just when you are old enough to afford the car and whats worse the insurance, you will find that perhaps you need these crutches to help you find some adoring litle chick!!!!!

Personally, I would prefer the youth and some old banger (as in car, not old banger woman)

I used to "court" in old Renult 4. From your age you will not even know what a hansome little car this is. It did have a squeeky back door, several floors which consecutively rotted, but the back seat did fold down!!!!!

COuld be worse, you could be a Chelsea fan!!!!!!

Uh dude stick with a banger or fast Jap import for the time being. I drive a BMW (Just hit 21 last week) and any time I come across a checkpoint i'm basicly asked:

1) Did I steal the car
2) Am I a drug dealer

It was funny at first but now it's getting a little tiring

Hi Alt,

You should say yes to both 1 and 2 and tell him you know where he lives!

Or else just say you are from either Limerick or Dublin 4 and he will understand.

Be careful that you dont get bookd for bad taste in cars!!!

Jimbo I think your going to have trouble hiring one. I fancied hiring a range rover a while back for the weekend. No hope. I had to be over 25 and they wanted something crazy like a £5k deposit

Where is the event, can't you go by RIB?!
I went to my 'prom' in a Renault Clio Williams Unfortunately only a few of us appreciated it, to the ladies it was an L reg Clio!
I ve looked at hiring a DB9 before and its a no go from an age point of view, your best bet would be to find someone local to you and offer them some powerboat tuition in exchange for a lift in their flash car.

Translation

Hi,

"My younger sister has her school prom in July, and she and her boyfriend are going along with myself and her best mate.

I reckon if I can borrow a large flash car I may be able to get into her best mates knickers"

Come on Jimbo be honest. I know someone with a transit van you can borrow, you may need to move the tools in the back if you want to avoid splinters.

Sorry but you have no chance.

However, why not hire a car and chauffeur to solve the problem you can also have a drink. It will be much cheaper and far more classy. for some reason I have had to do quite a bit of googling recently for just suck a vehicle.

Pete
