See this new car tax thing….

Well it got me thinking… why do they not tax caravans. No let me finish.

You have a nice wee car (say a 1.8 Golf) pumping out X amount of carbon then you stick a big white box on the back with the aerodynamics of a brick and the emissions will in an instant rise and you will end up with a carbon footprint of a Range Rover.

So by the green arguments for this new “green tax” tax all caravans £400.oo a year.

because some of the people who luve (sorry typo) in caravans pay no tax at all cos they have "no friggin address" or no fixed abode NFA if ya know what I mean. whats the point on shooting a target that moves too fast....

Anyway when I was in LA recently sittingon the side of the road waiting for someone, I noticed the average size engine on the cars was 3.5 litres.
I give up and us and our 1 litre cars.

They cannot fix the other problems so the create a few new ones!!!!

Finally, there "was " no life without CO2. If everyone just grew more trees, we may not have to rely on the amazon.

Did anyone tell these people the world needs their forests and that even though they possibly have a soverign country, that teh world expects them to leave their forests lone for our benifit

Why don't we plant trees everywhere. And I mean everywhere. All over moors and fields that don't seem to do anything. Or does that not work. But surely it does because TB off sets all his freebie holidays by planting trees.

Apparently planiting trees in the Northern Hemisphere is nowhere near as effective as ones at the equator.

Of course due to massive pressure from the enviro mentalists everyone is starting to use Bio Diesel and bio ethanol - what a great reason for people to cut down even more of the rainforest. they reckon Orangutans will be extinct by 2012 if this carries on - thats in 5 years time!!!

Well, indirectly they are. When the tow vehicle uses more fuel it requires more tax to be paid on that fuel. Just like when you drive fast.
So, following your argument, I vote you pay more tax.
