7m
Doesn't have to be turnkey, but not looking for a project.
I like the Zodiac 733, and Willard 730 boats.
If I had a choice, I would prefer a single 4 stroke outboard, but that is not a deal breaker.
I'm in San Diego, CA.
Thanks for your time.

I don't think Todd keeps his website up to date. Probably better to call

Thank you so much for the information and pictures Kai.
Glad we could work out a deal on the RIB.
Excited to get it back to NC in due course.

Ryan,
I have a Champagne taste on a beer budget. Like most, I'd like a 40K dollar boat for 25 K, but I would probably have a better chance of having monkeys fly out of my buttocks than that happening.
I'm willing to pay what is reasonable. I know the market is small, and product is limited, so price will be high. I'm not going to pay someone 40K for some boat they bought for 5K at an auction and then put another 10-15 in to it.
From owning a few boats in my life I have learned in the end you pay the same. Buy a boat that needs work, and you end up putting the same or more in to it if then if you spent the money up front and bought something nicer.
I had really been trying not to buy a project, but that is what it is starting to look like. I may just have to do the build myself.
I have been searching here, boats.com, boattrader.com, yachtworld, ebay, craigslist, govliquadation.com, govsurplus.com, searchtempest.com, and biggirlsneedlovetoo.com.
Ryan, you are a very knowledgeable, and well respected member of this site. I would be honored if you know of any other places to look or advice.

Since you are on the West Coast I would save my pennies and wait for a nice 733 0r 754 to come up. it might take 4-8 months but you will get more boat for your money if you get one at auction. some of those go for 20-30k and are close to turn key!

There was an auction here recently with 5-6 for sale. One had twin Honda 135s, which went for around 25. The rest were diesel, which went for around 6-7 each. I believe Todd may have bought all those.
I am crossing my fingers that Jason will win the lotto soon, and sell me his boat.
I may have a 4 stroke Yamaha 250 lined up for around 10 installed, if I could find something with a blown outboard, that would work.
If I had a choice, I would rather go with an outboard, but I may be open to diesel.
Thanks for your input and advice.

don't forget GSAauctions.gov there is a nice SafeBoat on there now, you could just skip to the end and bypass the 7m boat.

Jason,
I do watch that site and have seen that boat. Those boats come up fairly regularly.
I'm pretty sure a CC 7M is what I'm going for.
I have a few right now that I know of that should be up for sale soon.
Thanks.

Patience is your only friend when buying a boat, the right deal will come, may take 4-8 months but save up and be ready to jump when you find it!
