Avon Searider 4 Meter (Needs Motor) and 5.4 Meter (Needs Work)
Two RIBs for sale both are Avon Seariders one is a 4 meter in good condition and the other is a 5.4 meter which needs work.
Avon Searider 4 Meter $2300 obo
This is a 1986 SeaRider in good condition with trailer. The motor was stolen off of the back of it a few years ago and I have not felt like replacing it. Even though I really like the boat, figured I would sell it. Last 5 years it has sat inside my garage.
There is a custom made jockey box with 15 gallon gas tank. The tube hold air fine and do not appear to be separating at the seams.
Avon Searider 5.4 Meter $1000 obo
Purchased this as a project boat, given the conditions of the tubes. I currently do not have time to work on it, and would prefer to sell it instead. The 5.4M Searider is very hard to find in the USA.
It comes with a 85 hp Johnson outboard, I believe from 1972 with electric start. Last time I used it, it ran perfectly, but I have not run it for a year since the tube separated.
Now about the tubes, overall the boat is in good shape except for the tubes. They need to be seriously repaired or replaced. The last time I used the boat in the SF Bay, one seam separated. I have not tried to repair it. The last owner also tried to coat the tubes, and did not do a very good job.
The trailer is in good shape. Someone could purchase and part out the hull, motor and keep the trailer.
