Avon SR 5.4 for sale
Hello
I have an Avon SR 5.4 for sale. I bought the boat in average condition, at
the time it had twin 40hp Mariners on it . The hull
was in near perfect condition and the tubes were in great shape, just needed
the rub rails sorted out. Since then I have made the following
improvements. I removed the twin outboards and all transom hardware,
searched the transom and found it free of any moisture or rot. I filled
re-glassed the transom. It is now mounted with a 2012 Suzuki 90hp. The
twin engine transoms came un-notched so I used a 25" shaft. This works out
great as the transom is higher than the notched out version keeping water
from coming over when backing down or sitting in a seaway. The suzuki has
just finished her break in period and I just did the 20 hr service. Also
stainless prop.
I installed a baystar hydraulic sterring system.
Group 27 Battery and box.

Had all rubrails professionally removed and tubes reconditioned. Then new
heavy duty rails were professionally put on by American Ideas Inc. of St.
Pete Florida.
Custom jockey seating and an arch was made by Quality T-Tops of Tarpon
Springs.
Installed a am/fm stereo with I pod jack and 2 speakers in console.
Stainless Wheel with suicide knob.
18g fuel tank
This SR 5.4 is next to perfect, it is extremely fast, does not chine walk,
very economical and quite. If you havent experienced the newest Suzuki
outboards you will be amazed at how quite they are. This outboard also has
a 6 year warranty on it which started in May 2012.
Boat also comes with a trailer. Trailer has new lights, wheels, bunks.
Buddy bearings. Tow it anywhere.
The picture of the jockey seats was taken in the shop when they were being fitted. The aft seat is extended for an adult and a child. Ive had three small children sit there comfortably.
