DuraJet Jet drive lower unit for Evinrude Johnson OMC 55 60 70 hp

I am selling two DuraJet Jet drive lower units that will fit on 1992 and later OMC Johnson and Evinrude 3 cylinder 55 60 and 70 hp longshaft (20’’) motors. The driveshaft has 12 splines, as opposed to the pre 1992 3cyl which has 4 splines. I’m sure you could use your stock driveshaft if you have pre 1992 motors. These are used by the Marine Corps and Navy on their small craft when there is a chance of personnel in the water to eliminate the danger of props. They are direct replacements for stock lower units, just bolt them on and go. I took great care of them. They have brand new waterpumps on them as well as fresh gear fluid. There is no corrosion or major damage. They work flawlessly. I had them on my Avon SR6 with twin 70’s. I sold the boat without them, so I have no use for them.

They do not lose power like a normal jet drive because they shoot the water straight through, not disturbing it like a normal jet or a waverunner would. If you bolt these onto 70hp motors, you get 70hp to the impeller.

They are perfect for any water rescue or shallow water where there is a risk of submerged objects. I can’t tell you how many times I would have destroyed a prop if I wasn’t using these jets. Floating logs, debris, etc are no problem. And if you are coaching sailing or swimming events, you can’t put a price on safety if people are in the water.

I’m asking a reasonable $1,000 EACH OBO ($2,000 for both) The next closest price for a single used durajet like this that I have seen is $1,900. These originally cost upwards of $5,000 each. Located in Howell, NJ 07731. I’ll ship at the buyers expense. Contact me at j007bmw2@aol.com. Feel free to make offers, the worst I’ll say is no

Still have the drive?
I know the freight would be a killer but asking anyway.

Hey,

Yes I do still have one.

You are right, the freight to Australia would probably be cost prohibitive, but if you are interested go ahead and run some numbers and we'll see what happens.

Just for reference, I shipped the other one from NJ to CA and it was $180 USD

I believe it will fit that motor. You'll have to use your existing driveshaft but everything else should be the same.
