Zodiac Hurricane 630 with 225 E-Tec
My Zodiac 630 is almost finished; I already have several prospective buyers lined up, but wanted to test the waters, and see what kind of action I get. I still have to finish the bench seats and rig the motor. New centered jockey console configuration gives it a Searider feel. Don't be fooled the 630 is not just the 733's little brother. It's only 18" shorter than the 733 and with the single outboard
Everything including the tubes are new, except the fiberglass hull and the outboard.
-The E-Tec is a 2008 with only 100 hours on it.
-Tubes are brand new and have never touched water.
-Brand new Valiant Jockey console
-Interlux perfection topside Polyurethane coating.
Locating in San Diego.
Accepting offers.

Very nice, but I am a little confused about your stated difference in length between the 733 and 630.
Isn't a 733, 7.33 meters, or 24.048 feet, and the 630, 6.3 meters, or 20.669 feet?
If so, wouldn't that make the 733, 3.379 feet longer than the 630?
How's your 733 project coming along?

Nice boat!
He is right about the lengths:
630: 22' x 8.5', 21" dia tubes, 3000lbs hoisting weight
733: 23.75' x 9', 22" dia tubes, 3700lbs hoisting weight
For some reason a 630 looks about 2/3 the size of a 733 when you see them out of the water sided by side.

Sorry for the confusing and incomplete original thread.
I did have a good point I was trying to make. I'm a huge fan of the 733, but the 630 and 640 are solid capable boats too. I think the 630 is a little more nimble especially with the single outboard.
My guess on the length discrepancy, is that 630 was designated as a model number and the design changed. It might have originally started as a 6.3 meter, and now it's 6.7.
Zip, the 733 gets new tubes put on soon, I'll keep you posted.
The boats located in San Diego.

If this was the one I saw in your yard a while back (you had just got the new tubes), amazing job.

630/Etec
What kind of performance did you get out of that package?

Yup ncp, the boat has been in my boatyard for over two years. I hate seeing this one go, but the buyers takes delivery on Thursday.
Two years to complete, and I got to take it for a 20 minute sea trial. Not really enough time to figure fuel consumption, but I think it was a 30-35 knot boat. I bought a 4 blade 15 pitch prop because they plan on hauling up to 12 people at a time and needed the torque. Shot out of the hole was amazing. You can see from the pics the single engine gave me a much tighter turning radius, with no cavitation. I dropped 250 lbs off the stern by going with a single Etec instead of the twin 90 Hondas it came with, and added 45 hp.
The interest in the boat was overwhelming; I think the hurricane market has strengthened over the past few years. Turnkey hurricanes I think are worth more than they use to be.
