It's actually a super good idea...I see a pot hauler on the boat and you'd never what to pull traps with a regular tube.

On this side of the pond there are several manufacturers who are making bespoke workboats using this sort of approach...

At first glance you'd think (some) were standard ribs.

Some are using custom moulds, others are using HDPE Pipe and welding...

Wow! The Flugga seems almost the same as this one. Makes me think it would be even better than an inflatable, especially for my purposes on the NorCal coast (spearfishing, crabbing, fishing, rough weather). Interesting...
