Zodiac 630 diesel for sale Toronto

Hi all,

Zodiac 630 diesel for sale. (coast guard orange hull and tube set)

Have had it and operated it for the last 2 years in the great lakes. Continuous improvements all the time to keep me busy.

Boat weights about 3500lb, comes with an Aluminium 2 year old Venture trailer. All up about 4500 lb. Tows fine with a 2000 Nissan Xterra. Don't need a big truck to pull it. A van or small SUV will do it.

Boat came with 3 man delta seats. (was a homeland security boat in Charleston NC) This configuration does not work for anyone but military and police or tow operators in my estimation.... this was my family boat. So.

Front delta seat was moved to the right and another zodiac drivers jockey seat moved into the left side. Now have secure seating for four. This allows the family and friends to sit comfortably while a hurricane does what it does best on or over big waves....

Installed a custom tower in the back....Heavy duty but not too heavy. Set up with all round flood lights, fold down VHF and remote spot light. Zodiac would be proud.

Has an ADQ31P 150 hp 4 cylinder diesel Volvo Penta motor. Works perfectly. Outdrive has been slightly modified to a 2 speed step drive. Original drive was a 290E SP. Why you might ask...? Because without it the boat is slow. The 2 speed drive reduced the turbo lag on these engines to a very acceptable level. The 2 speed drive provides a 30% gear reduction then shifts automatically to the original drive ratio. A very simple and robust system. see the stepdrive website for more info. Boat burns about 4 gallons per hour at a 25 mph cruise. Yes that is Diesel economy for you. Tank holds 48 USG.

To illustrate I have seen 40.3 mph on the gps with just me and 20 gallons of fuel in the boat (custom 20 inch prop) and I can pull 210lb water skier with a 17 inch prop. Don't do it much but it can be done and the stepdrive makes it possible. This is just an illustration. Normally this boat is an all weather grocery getter for the Georgian Bay cottage.

Boat has a Raymarine A70 chart plotter and new Raymarine VHF.

I will add more as I think of it.

Can't see how to up load pictures now...will work on it.

ask $38000

please call if interested, I will have pictures and additional info. (private listing) no brokers pls.

Cheers,

Dave just out side Toronto in Port Credit

To add to the above advert.

Have the none shifting mid section sp290 parts available if that is a concern for a prospective purchaser.

Also have a 2.30:1 ratio duo prop leg for this boat. Just never saw the need to swing away from the bullet proof 290 sp in the rock infested waters of Georgian Bay.

I have never touched down with this boat but in Georgian bay its a matter of when, not if.
The sp repair should be less than half the money to repair props compared to a duoprop set up. Just a thought, the duoprop leg is available and included in the sale of this boat.

Cheers, Dave
