Zodiac 7m US Navy RHIB - $25k
NAVY 7.3m workboat built by Zodiac to similar specifications as the Willard 730. Hypalon tubes with over-pressure vents, 6 cylinder Volvo Penta Turbodiesel with 985hours, Volvo 290 out-drive. Stainless steel T top and swim step. Dual-axle aluminum trailer with Kodiak brakes and all stainless hardware. Major overhaul in 2018 with lots of new parts (New driveshaft/bearings, water pump, heat exchanger+core, closed crankcase breathing system, AGM batteries etc etc.) The boat served various functions as a safety boat on NOAA-run expeditions to the Channel Islands, a workboat for aquaculture research as well as a pleasure boat for weekend and multi-day trips to the outer Channel Islands and Catalina. There's a minimal camping setup with a bow-tent that has served us well for weekends and some longer cruising trips. This boat is efficient (~3nm/gal at 22-24kn cruise) and extremely seaworthy. All of the work was done with the idea of keeping this boat for a long time, but we just had our first kid and priorities have changed so we ended up with a cabin boat.
Located in Goleta, CA.
