Wrecked!

This boat was 30 minutes from delivery after driving all the way across Canada, and was totaled in a road accident..

Hmmmmm...... We don't know that yet. Got rear ended but the outcome is yet to be discovered. I should know. I'm the guy who bought it.

I'll update. Still don't know the damage. Might resolve well, proving the toughness of the build. Or not. Proving it should have always remained in the water, Where boats are supposed to live....

Broken skeg, cavitation plates, bent props. Likely some damage to interior lower gear housings. All boat damage superficial. Testament to how well built these boats are.
Sea trialing tomorrow.

Dodged a bullet. If you damaged the pod it would have been worse. Hopefully the other guys insurance pays for repairs or replacements.

Guess I can’t sell you my boat then ;-)

I commented earlier about the accident and the accident is very personal to me. At this very moment I’m awaiting completion of a a 3100 mile road delivery of a Ribcraft 6.8 with a Honda BF225, 10 years old, new-to-me! I bought from Ribcraft USA—Due in tonight! Delivered on its trailer by a UShip driver.
When I learned of Julien’s accident it really got my attention. I’m so glad to hear his boat survived. With about two more hours of luck, mine will too!
