American Trailer Sizes? Help!

Hello, i have just bought a trailer and the wheels look a little worse for wear

the only markings on the side (they are matched pair) is 480/400-8
now it may also be 480/4.00-8 its hard to tell

from alot of googling, only american websites come up, which is not good for me being based in the UK!

Can anyone help me find replacements? Any help or advice is appreciated

Pete

Sorry... are you saying it's an American built trailer? 4.00 X 8 is a "standard" tyre here.

Whel is 8" diameter, rim width is 4".

480 is, I think, the aspect ratio, i.e. the ratio of tire width to tire height.

Shouldn't be too rare, even in the UK, I'd think.
