Boatcatch

Saw this at the Sydney Boat Show and thinking about it for Lunasea. Our bow might be a little too horizontal for it to work but if it works as well as the video, then probably not a bad idea as I tend to launch and retrieve the 9m RIB on my own.

There is no way I would be attempting the retrieval in the launch, I could see it landing sideways if I tried it.

nice idea, looks simple design n not much to go wrong as long as you get the boat lined up

I've had this one in my favourites for a few months. Thinking of making one to try out. Looks a similar design but no need to pull a lanyard to release the boat

It's very nice. Should work well too, so long as there are NO WAVES where you launch

That hook's bound to get wedged on a jetty edge or something at some stage!

I seem to recall an auto-latch that hooked up the eye bolt on recovery; came with a wireless remote to release the latch for launching. Never saw it again after the first promo video though.
