Buffalo board

I am adapting a 6x4 galvanised box trailer to take my 2.9 metre Sib . If i use buffalo board for the bunks will I still need to cover the board with carpet

I would. Carpet is going to be easier on the bottom of the boat.

I used pressure treated timber from the builders yard and covered it with cheap industrial cord carpet held on with stainless fixings.

Mine are bare buffalo board no problem

I used lengths of PCV barge board for mine, didn't need to cover it in anything then
