Agree with this. You don't need much winch capacity until you really need lots.
On a falling tide with a short & muddy slipway with a ledge off the bottom so you have to winch the boat on & up to the trailer. Or you've had a whoopsie and the boat is full of water. Any one of a number of scenarios.
I got rid of the rusty metal wire on my winch years ago - I currently have a flat strop on it. Are we saying that a dyneema is significantly superior to that?
