Excellent launching aid

Myself and a friend have been looking for some time for a simple to use camera to aid launching a rib on a slip. I think I have found the perfect one.

It is :

Direct WiFi connection to phone or tablet Android or IOS
No internet connection needed.
Simple on off switch
Has incredible range. I tested to 50m and ran out of garden it claims 100m
Very easy to set up and use
Inbuilt rechargeable battery
Waterproof
Magnetic with very strong magnets
Can flip image both vertical and horizontal
Reversing lines can switch on and off
Very low latency
Cost £40 on eBay

It is the MHCABSR Canera.

Got to be honest Dennis I saw the word camera and thought "please not another drone camera video"

Looks a decent bit of kit. I've been thinking about something like this on the back of the caravan. I noticed on your distance test it was clear line of sight between your mobile and the camera. Have you done a test with something in-between ie: your house, conservatory, something that would simulate having the truck and the caravan between camera and a mobile?

Not sure about that. I will be using it when sleeping in the campervan so as to be able to look outside as we are not intending to put windows in the van. Stay Stealthy.

You can also buy it with a separate screen or just connect an old phone not connected to the car play unit.

The intended use we also have in mind is at the SYH Slip in levington where the car is at the end of a cable through a pully and the boat is on the trailer down the slip. I think it will carry the distance required

I haven't done that test but the manual says 100m and I think it might well get that far. I think it would easily penetrate a caravan or RV which is actually its designed use. The main beauty is the battery and total lack of wiring required. The picture is actually way better on an Ipad as it is designed for 4:3 ratio. For £40 (the price of a cheap meal with a drink in a pub for 2) I recon it will be pretty decent. I tow loads of stuff so I think this will be useful plonking it in various places
