Help please - mobile trailer servicing in the North East
Not posted for some while, but for various reasons my boat
has been unused in storage for the last few years.
Now I have a problem I hope someone may be able to help with.
I just received notice from the boat storage facility
that they are closing permanently from the end of the month
and the boat and trailer have to be removed before then.
The trailer will need some work to make it roadworthy I think,
but as I havnt seen it for a few years I cant be sure.
Added complication is that I am away in the USA until the end of February !
I have a new storage spot in Nottinghamshire for the boat,
so ideally I would need a mobile mechanic to service and repair the trailer,
and a tow service to get it down to Nottinghamshire from the North East.
Boat is currently in Peterlee just south of Sunderland.
Any help with suggestions for companies that could help would be gratefully received.
cheers all....

Wow quite a problem, and time sensitive, If it was me I think I would find a boat transport company who could lift and shift the whole thing, boat and trailer, to the new location and then sort the trailer out in slower time on return to the UK....
Just a thought, hope it turns out ok.

More details would help is it single/ twin axle, braked/unbraked. Weight? Makes a huge difference to your options

Yeah - its an Indespension Rollercoaster 7
Single axle - Braked trailer
Total all up weight boat and trailer I would estimate around 2100 kg

My thoughts too[emoji106] condense it into one problem. A local garage/recovery company will be able to put it onto a car transporter & drop it wherever.

There is a caravan repair place at Tursdale who do mobile stuff. Would have thought that there isn't much different on a trailer road gear to a caravan?

+1 on something like this. You may be able to save a few quid by using Shiply or similar but it requires more organisation whereas telling someone to make it so requires you to hose it with cash a bit but it will solve it for you.
