Well, I'm glad I wasn't relying on the spare set of bearings supplied with the trailer

I went to fit them a couple of days ago, and they are different. I haven't checked the measurements or bearing numbers against Jeff's post but I suspect the ones in the trailer were the proper waterproof ones (they had caps labelled WATERPROOF) and the spares supplied when I bought the trailer were the normal ones and came with plain caps. They won't fit anyway, so I'm glad I bought a new set of drums from Trailer Guy as otherwise I'd be highly p(((ed off with no wheels on my wagon at this point!

Worth checking - I am sure Roy at SBS or Trailer Guy here can advise better than me. All I know is I had a little trouble finding the SKF ones and it took SBS quite some time, for some reason, to send the spare set of hubs I ordered

Like BogM I also keep a spare complete hub set for quick or emergency swaps

Having had the calipers out to measure what I have, I can confirm the info is correct. My SBS trailer had the SKF bearings fitted from new (with blue striped caps marked waterproof and metal seals) and the ones supplied as spares were the std bearings with plastic seals. So I need to source a set of SKFs to renovate the old drums. Given they've lasted four years, and one of them probably still had some life in it, I'm not disappointed by the performance.

I'll google it but any recommedations for suppliers for the SKF type?
