How to protect leather seats in the car against salt water ?

Hello,

Maybe strange question but:

In the RIB I do have some pvc material on the seats so use 303 cleaner and 303 protectant.

But we usually snorkel in sunny Greece and we are wet on the boat.
So when return to marina we go to the car having wet clothes (wet in salt water).

My previous and current cars have leather seats. How to protect them ?
Seat covers ?? Or maybe do you know really working protectant ?

I have found something like that CERAMIC PRO LEATHER

Anyone have any experience uses it ?
Hope it is towing related and admin be not angry for me

I have one of these in the car I throw on the seat when grubby or wet. There are full sets but here we tend to change before getting in the car

Hi Matt,

if the seats are that important a couple of options:

1) Dry off and change before getiing into the car
2) Put towels over the seats.

These work for me.

I avoid leather seats in my car so I don't hve to worrry about damp people / dogs.

It is new car so don't want to damage it so fast.

1. Not works - 5 people after whole day in the Sea, no cabin to change
2. We did it but towel is getting wet very fast and seat also

HDAV - this is what I was looking for - universal neoprene protection.
Where to buy in EU ?

RIBase
Even with a wetsuit, it's possible to change out of them with a large beach-towel. Cheap plastic backed fabric picnic rugs are perfect for this sort of thing for a temporary cover on the seats and load area. Once you get to your destination, you just vacuum the sand up.

You can feed the leather (probably more of an issue in hot climates) to keep it supple.

Matt,, these are not cheap but very good, genuinely waterproof (even when sitting on in a wet drysuit after diving) and comfortable to leave on during a long drive to Greece or just when you are there. Had mine for 6 years and still good. Cordura type fabric as opposed to nylon. E Bay item# 272500033351. This is for volvo obviously but search sellers other items.
