L200 - Tow Vehicle
Looking at getting a new tow vehicle, had a go in an L200 last week and it seemed pretty good. Just wondering if anyone has first had experience of using them for towing, pros / cons etc.
I know they are not a VW Amarock, which seems to be at the top of every ones list at present and on the comfort front I can see why, L200 seats and ride somewhat harder. But you pays the money for the VW etc.
Thanks

No experience with the L200, although that mechanically they take a lot of beating. Another budget alternative worth considering is the Isuzu D-max.

I got the Barbarian model in July to replace my beloved Terrano 3ltr. So far I am happy with it and it tows very well and also more economical than the Terrano. Just be aware that the L200 is classed as a light goods vehicle so you have to take out van insurance which is no problem but technically speed restrictions apply such as 50mph on a 60mph duel carriageway 😕

That does look smart. Unfortunately black seems to be out of fashion now with Mitsubishi as its all chrome,
Did you go for the manual or auto box?

Not sure about the new models but the later models chassis have been snapping in half. Not good

We borrowed an Izuzu and it was a pretty tidy machine.
It's built to a price and for that I thought you got good value for money.

Waant the shogun sport an l200 with a car/suv body?
A mates got an older one and has it up to the doors in breaking surf to launch on a flat beach really good tool it worked on a farm prior to that and just keeps going if it was a D40 it would have snapped long ago!
