Motorway trailer incident

Apparently nobody badly injured, but a stark reminder.

Dude .. a photo doesnt tell much only the result.. us lot arent much for sensationalism (except when WiLfish has a canny forecast at the bookies ) ..... ( or a blackshadow member spills his beans on his suit)

but some circumstances would be good

Heard on the radio another story of the road blocked across the New Forest today due to a 'boat on the road'

Good job its not a sea rider, because if it was it probably would have broken the concrete bollards. Or at least that what I have been lead to believe by the posts on this Forum

I hate it when my rib overtakes me on the motorway.

Couple of years ago a wheel fell off my trailer. Luckily I was just turning round in a car park. I was surprised as I meticulously maintain, check and replace my bearings. Didn't stop the bearing shaft from snapping off tho

I guess being told a Searider is better built and able to take an engine bigger than designed for still smarts

"The vanguard's are absolutely diabolical, the 'DR' versions are better but are not laid up as well as say a Ribcraft, you don't see many older valiants for sale, things like the consoles/ anchor lock lid etc aren't very robust.
Fine if you want to bob around the solent and run the recommended engine size, but not really the sort of thing you bolt a Yammie V4 on thats massively outside the manufacturers specifications. If you want an overpowered rib that stick it on something thats over engineered in the first place like a searider."

(Earlier thread reply to Yam 115 V4 post)
