I've got a run about Mondeo with blanked egr. It makes a big difference to how well it runs and much less smoke, but it does throw engine light, just ignore it now.

Man with laptop delete code in ecu and no light! Light can be MOT failure now? Ask a local tuning man but I think on most they can change the parameters to stop it throwing a fault code.
