I got home to find a shiny new roller snubber post courtesy of SBS! I only spoke to Roy yesterday! So, hats off to their telephone customer service!
I now believe the SBS trailer to be unbeatable!!

We could supply you with a SBS R2/1800EL for £2300 + VAT (£128.17 off the list price) or £1800 + VAT taking your current trailer in P/X. You could collect from Wolverhampton if this was more convenient for you.
Give me a call on 01752 687700 or email info@southcoasttrailers.co.uk if you would like to discuss further.

Yeah, I just need to swap the winch and post over this weekend and send the old post back to them.
I also need to repair my gelcoat where the original "V" post has rubbed the bow away.

Hi Jeff, here's a quick piccy of how the axle is attached to the trailer on the SBS trailer. Hope this helps?
Photo taken of the nearside wheel, from behind the wheel looking forward (step just aft of the wheel-arch can be seen with the attachment for the flush-kit).

Good choice! They are good trailers and Michael was very helpful.
See if you can stipulate the roller snubber assembly rather than the "V" block assembly. It might hopefully save you damaging your bow when you wind the boat up tight to the snubber.
