New trailers
I'm on the lookout for a new trailer for a 6m+ rib, what info can people give me on pros and cons of different makes. I'm working on a bit of a budget so lower prices would be better .

Tony, that one Jono is selling was on e bay a fortnight ago in Southampton, but can't remember what happened at the end of the auction. Andy, Stu has a bigger used trailer for sale at the moment, RM suitable for 7 - 7.5m and two axles.

Mine is an admiral. It was a good price from stevetheboat and seems to be pretty good really. braked trailer, 16 rollers, nice and sturdy, built in hitch lock. The wheel units seem to be fully sealed so not sure how long these will last...

Do you mean the bearings or the whole unit including suspension?

Yep! Definitly agree with that, all fully adjustable etc with light board. And none of those sealed bearings either, just good old DIY ones. All for under a grand.

Pete, I think a 7-7.5m trailer would be too big for the drive and two cars but thaks anyway.
Anyone heard of this company: http://www.cantrailers.com/ribtrailers.htm
Their RB003 looks good for £1600

Nos's PM will be good/bad however you look at it, as he told me the stoy once.
Looking at their site, the trailers look very slightly built with very small box sections and no regard to the forces involved or good engineering practice.(In my Opinion of course).
It also looks like somebody stole most of the rollers!!
I'd say don't do it, pick up a used rollercoaster and throw some new axles under it.
Nasher.

Thanks Nasher, I'll try Admiral and a few others first. I know I'm doing it on the cheap and that you gets what you pays for normally, But I know there must be a good quality roller trailer out there that'll support a 1000 kg RIB for under £1500.
Was following an Auction the other day (well till my PC went wonky) for an SBS trailer (new) the rig didn't reach its reserve, but not by much I think £1070 was max bid.

Try Nicholson trailers near lancaster, I had a 1500kg trailer off them, superb quality and £1300.
