Thanks for the clarification. I had previously been told that it was:
"overall body length not exceeding 7 metres (excluding drawbar and coupling)"
So had thought that mine with a body length of 7.58m was just over the legal max!
Others have said that the overhang refers to the removable load/goods being carried on a trailer and that it doesn't apply to caravans.
I think it's time to buy an 19m tape measure and go looking for a bigger RIB...
