Thinking of new trailer
can all you owners of 5.85m /6m ribs help. Is there any chance you could post your current trailer and if possible with photo of the roller set up. I am having hellish trouble on recovery of our boat and after much deliberation it is the twin cradle set rollers!!
Any help would be appreciated.

Neil as TG days behave. Although I am quite handy I don't think I could tackle that job. It's a matter of confidence in the finished product.

Gullwing for my 5.85
Found it easier to recover onto than a dual swing beam.

Billy, I had an SBS swing roller double axle trailer for my previous RC585, worked fine. I'll see if I can dig out a photo.

Hi yes, I have. Please accept my apologies if you think the glib comment was made in your direction, it was directed at Poly, whom I believe may have been referring to this thread, which caused quite a stir:
http://www.rib.net/forum/f49/buildin...eap-50607.html
Anyway, quite happy to pm you a price for a new trailer (we do Indespension's trailers, but with good savings over RRP).
This is mine. A Roller Coaster 1.3HE, but now modified to have twin roller cradle set up. Uber easy to launch and recover.

Hi Dave it's the cradles there to deep so it has the effect of going up two hills as they are not on the lower part of the hull near the keel. The main problem is the front one as there are no keel rollers so it hits it and immediately slants the whole thing up. You do not get the now down until your a foot of the post. It's a hellish grind with the winch. Actually thought of buying a winch as the alternative.
Jesus see you've taken the bait from the red side and changed your avatar!!
Cheers
Billy

The Gullwing would definately help with that, I found that recovery was straight on (there's no cradle's to swing the boat up and then down) rather than the usual movement I had on my 2 previous swing beam type trailers. Search Gullwing on the forum there's plenty of info including a 'failure' thread which makes interesting reading!
