Tilt lock F80.

Hi everyone, will be towing a ribtec 535 with F80. Do I need to lock the trim tilt for transport. Especially a 400 mile journey to NW Scotland. Tia.

Ultimately depends on the road conditions. Boat trailers aren’t known for their forgiving suspension set ups. On my Tohatsu M70C (2-stroke) it’s got a tilt lock, but the bracket just rests on allen key bolt head which I managed to shear off, probably after hitting a pothole. I manage to drill it out and replace, but only after a fair bit of dismantling.

Yamaha sell this, part number: MARMTSPTSR00 for single ram engines, or part number: MARMTSPTYM10 for bigger engines. Double check what they fit HP wise.
