Thanks Downhilldai, I was not aware of these specifically, but I had thought about just modifying the helm mounting. Unfortunately, this does not solve all of my problems, as the wheel will still be too close to the drivers seat, and I would also need to make seperate arrangements for mounting the flush mount throttle controls. Likewise I have looked at rear mount steering units, but would have problems accessing the fill hole when mounted in my console. So all in al, I think that modifiying the console is the easiest way to get the ergonomics right, painful as it is!
I think I need to say that the position of the console was decided on a CF22 Outhill console, which has the steering hub inset into the console, but this placed the steering wheel too near to the centre line of the boat, and so had to be changed to the CF19. The blame for this cock up is all mine, and every-one associated with the build has been nothing but helpful, that is Outhill and Osprey.
