Trailer info sticky?....

Would anyone / Mods like to have a trailer info sticky?

i.e. common bearing to trailer running gear info, tyre pressures, how to measure a pcd, towing and the law, etc?

I'll probably be doing myself out of a whole load of business , but if so, I'll happily put together some pertinent info for people to check against before posting up any queries.

All the best

Dutton Lainson(DL) and Fulton are both common suppilers to the trailer market over here.

They're both much of a muchness in my opinion. DL do a detachable handle, which is pretty good if you're concerned it'll be nicked, however, the most common call I get is "Help, I've lost my winch handle!", rather than "help, someone's buggered off with it!"...

Fulton do a good braking system on theirs, but for the twin speed, heavier winches only. I've got one on my Roller Coaster trailer (fitted by Indespension as OE) and it's a good bit of kit.

I know what you mean! If that's the same as the DL1802A thenI've seen them retail for just under £60, so make sure you're paying plenty less than that, if you're trade!

This is the one that I've got to haul mine up (5.8m + 90). The big piece of steel sticking out the far side is the brake. It makes life reeeaaally easy when launching and the twin speed makes it great when recovering when you're knackered!
