You'll be winding the jockey down to partially lift weight off the front axle?

jockey up/down makes zero difference to how easy it is to move- tried it.
perhaps if i had the next size trailer up i would get away with it as it would be 1800kg axles rather than 1300's. i.e they would compress less so moving jockey up/down would have more impact.
the only thing i've ever found that worked was beer trays under 2 wheels but you only get 1 use out of them.
i wish boat trailer makers would make a locking/lifting axle purely for moving them around in yard.
i did consider these but i assume they will only work on very flat ground-

What about this Xk59D? I know it's a brut, but could be left in the marina with a tarp over it. Great winter project, and not that far away in Carlisle.

If that price includes storage for the helicopter on your deck, it's not too bad.

That's not that bad for South coast assuming that's the monthly rate and not the annual rate divided by twelve?
Same boat (8.1 scorpion in your profile) would be £495 per month here in largs considering your south coast I don't think that's too bad when you compare the two

I've not priced keeping it on water locally but in round figures on dry is -
James watt indoors - £2200 (LOA on trailer)
Outdoors- £1700
No launching as no slipway on site.
If you can convince them you have a caravan it will be £750...a boat is different price.
Kip outdoors- £1600 inc use of slipway (length of boat)
Largs outdoors -£1900 inc them launching and recovering.(length of boat)
Fairlie indoors is £1300 and outdoors £1100 and use of their slipway but it is very open there. (as long as boat is less than 7m)

It is decent value for money if you use largs in that way, even more reason to give the forth a miss next week. See, I didn't mention the forth is gubbins as a reason for not going, although that is a mighty fine reason it has to be said. We are all paid up at largs so let's use it
