Almost there, A bit more work than expected however its come together well..

All the parts in the drums are new although managed to salvage the drums, New Bearings all round, New Stainless Cables, Compensator, Main cable, Powder coated the rims, New hand brake spring, various parts in the towhitch including a new damper, New U-bolts all round, New winch, Had the front roller assembly fabricated, All the other bolts have been or are being replaced.

Had a last minute addition to the list when we realised the front cross piece that the rollers mount to had taken a whack at some point and is totally bent down and back so had to order a new one.

Have also had some Ali Checkerplate mudguards made up which will be fitted tomorrow.

Then its just final set up and road test before (hopefully) a trip to Portishead on Saturday !

Are you getting a good tyre to rim seal? Powder coat can be porous and variable thickness.

That's why tyre fitters have clear silicone

Compared the rusty surface they were on before the powder coat is much better. TBH it was just to give them a new lease of life and the other owner of the boat owns a powder coating business so it seemed worth a try.

Solid..... went out for first trip yesterday. The boat whilst unloved is in good nick, tubes are perfect with no patches. Stainless all good upholstery is OK but will probably be replaced as its not the right colour. The top of the console is going to be replaced and I am going to rewire everything and fit an NMEA network and gauges to bring it up to date.

The engine whilst not an E-tec is immaculate with only 145 hours and pushes all at 40 knots with more to go. It was only fitted 4 years ago, as I now know, replacing the original 200 opti.

For what we paid its a bargain!

I would definately concour,and realy enjoyed the Blast!Realy Decent boat for the money,with a few quid and alot of ''Fiddleing''
