Trailer servicing in Poole - recommendations?
Any suggestions for trailer servcing in Poole, preferably mobile?
Have been trying the obvious guy on here for several weeks, but no luck getting anything booked in.
Wouild really quite like to get this done in March, whilst the boat is afloat and the trailer empty!

I never used them but i queeried about using them. I think they were called Dorset marine? Ill double check though.
Theyre a mobile company & said they would do my tyres, wheels & bearings for me. They seemed pretty good from when i spoke to them

Sadly Ambrow don't do mobile servicing - because of time limitations (I'm only down on occasional weekends) I can't easily tow it to Christchurch and back!
A very helpful chappy from Dorset Marine going round tomorrow to take a look at the trailer, and see what might need doing. Let's hope for some good news!

Paul, how did you get in with Dorset Trailers? I haven't seen my trailer for 4 years, but the guy who is storing it has checked it over and reckons the brakes need overhauling and the jockey wheel bearing needs replacing. The trailer has not been in the water so hopefully the wheel bearing are ok but it might be worth replacing them. I'm hoping to start traveling a bit further afield later this year. Did Dorset trailers do a good job for you?

Had a bad experience with Dorset Marine in 2013, talked a good talk, nice guys but work was not up to standard, Failed to spot a failed thermostat on the engine service and fitted trailer brakes/adjusters incorrectly.
Cost me about £600 to put right.
No response to requests for compensation.
It may have been a one off but be careful.

I swear by dolphin trailers in poole! Excellent work & service & cheapest place for towbars & trailer work I've found
