Trailer settings for Ribcraft 5.85

I've inherited a Super Roller Coaster 6 trailer ready for my Ribcraft 5.85.

I have now had it serviced and it is ready

I will need to adjust the position of the rollers and the winch post for the boat as it used to house a slightly larger RIB.

The RIB is being fitted out on the IOW and I intend to bring it back by sea to Portsmouth and then onto my new trailer

If anybody has a trailer for their 5.85 if you could let me know the settings it would be very helpfull, rather than tring to figure it out on the slipway!!

I assume the things I need to know are

Distance from rear roller to winch post
Distance between roller beams
Distance rollers are apart on the beams

Anything else?

I'll try and post some diagrams I think!

Trialer Settings

Jools,

A collegue of mine has recently bought a new 5.85 complete with trailer. I will e-mail him tonite and see if he can give me some vital dimensions.

Depending on when you are picking your new beast up I could come across and escort you back. I am based in Chichester which is a bit further on for you by road from Pompy but you could recover in the marina and have plenty of space/help to sort out the final positions of the rollers.

Excellent

Not sure quite when it will be ready - hopefully mid June

So far Scubakid and possibly others have volunteered to be RIB taxi to take me over to Bembridge and escort my new RIB back.

the more the merrier

We took TomKat to Ribsearch International at the weekend and had a look at Chichester marina - very impresive!

So yes - sounds like a plan to me!

I will let you know nearer the time when I get a date.

Thanks for the help

Jools

Jools,

I have spoken to my friend with the 5.85 and he is going to measure his trailer and e-mail the basic dimensions of the rollers, winch post, etc which I will then mail on to you.

Chichester Marina is quite good - the only draw-back being the 8 knot speed limit in the harbour which the HM enforces with radar guns and fines ranging from £100 to £600 The marina charges £16 for launch and recovery but I don't know how much for recovery only - I will ask this w/e
