But you do get nicked if you want to sleep in your car all boozed up. Not overly relevant for me but still rattles me.

And to give you the law, the offence is "Drunk in charge" of a motor vehicle, not drink driving (asleep in your car). If you leave your keys with someone else and have no way of knocking the hand brake or other controls, then you may get off the offence! But now I'm being clever!!!

Motor vehicle? Hope they don't class a camper van or motor home a motor vehicle then ...

Afaik, re. Motor homes & campers. You have to show intent. If the seats are swivelled, keys out of the ignition, bed made up etc, you are fine.

Rules on overhangs are the same for all loads...... nothing special about a prop in that regard

IIRC it is all about unmarked overhang ............ I will look at NTTA later for the info .............

I just fit a propbag so at to not draw unwanted attention

The last time I got pulled for something which was a little dubious (ways and means act ?) , I pointed out a personal plate on a car that obviously had the incorrect letter spacing and asked the officer what he was going to do about it .......... he cleared off pretty smartish

In that instance I'd have a weighbridge ticket in the glove box in the hope it would deter Mr plod from getting Mr vosa to come out with his scales
I used to tow a cruiser that was bang on 3.5t dry add a bit of fuel and a few clothes and God knows what it weighed
Fortunately I never got stopped but had the weighbridge ticket just in case

re weight we were stopped by vosa 20 kg underweight no problem
trailer weight should be stamped on the plate & its capacity.
if your load dosnt exceed the capacity of the trailer no problem
if your load plus trailer dosnt exceed your vehicle capacity no problem
you have 60 kg underweight so you are well inside the max.
i always use a prop bag with a triangle on even if inside the light board and it serves as covering up the prop from prying eyes especially if SS

I'm the same. SS 5 blade prop with a propbag on inside the lightbboard. Mainly to make it more visible to any muppet getting to close while looking at their phone.....

That's my point, if the prop is in front of the light board I.e the light board marks the rearmost point of the trailer, there's no need for a propbag.imo
