TrailerGuy

Lads,

Just thought i'd put up a quick post to publicly say thanks to 'Trailerguy' or trailergod Ben - had a few problems since I first got my RIB, and he's always spot on with his trailer diagnosis, my first order from him arrived today (after just ordering the other day) very helpful, and great to have someone so knowledgeable and happy to share their knowledge on the forum.

Thanks a lot mate

Si

lol, you're right Leapy - you guys are gonna make me blush! Always happy to assist where I can; what's the point in having plenty of knowledge of a subject and not sharing it with others?

Thank you for your kind words Si, it's very much appreciated. If you need assistance in brake set up or on going maintenance, just drop me a line anytime. Thanks again for your order, it was generous of you to offer me the opportunity.

All the best, Ben

Why ? .. my business model is the same .. and Ive been doing it for 25 years .. I specialised in something and I do it well and have a good reputation for my knowledge.

Your original post is worthy of something that is amiss in todays world .. people pay money to monkeys all the time who dont know what they are talking about, then come to someone who does, and regret the fact they didnt meet the 'pro' sooner ?

The sadder fact is .... that ive just had experiences .. as a customer ... with 2 'major' dealers of world wide franchises who's mechanics totally fu*ked my gear with which I had entrusted them with ... Scania in Glasgow was one ..

RIBase
Over the years, I reckon 30% of my business has been sorting out other peoples f**k ups. They ask for a price, you give them a fair price that you can do a good job at, they come back & say "so and so can do it cheaper" I say " let them do it then" weeks later they come back, but now you not only have to do the original job, you have to put right what the muppets did as well. Hey Ho!
