Trailor bearings.

Hi all
Anyone available to replace 1, possibly 4 wheel bearings at short notice?
I’ll try to add a photo.
I’m in Warsash.
Thanks

You have more than plenty of smaller garages everywhere in Poland with mechanics who are able to change them .
I am sure to find the bearings isn't difficult either .

Poland? Is it not Hamble way? Its really simple to change bearings, if you can't find anyone at short notice.

Thanks but the whole wheel hub on the trailer is very rusty and rattling about ( even though I thoroughly flush them after dunking it) I was wondering if there’s such a thing as waterproof bearings or sealed bearings?
And yes, Warsash is on the Hamble so I don’t think I’ll be popping it over to Holland. Thanks for the advice.

Maybe he doesn’t have the time/space/inclination/tools or torque wrench.[emoji6]

To be honest. I’d rather pay someone to do it properly. Anyone on here interested?

There used to be “Trailer Guy” on here, Ben was his name iirc. He was down your neck of the woods. If you do a search you might find some contact details for him.

I don’t blame you. I tackled the job myself yesterday and the inner bearing race was absolutely stuck to the spindle. It took me about 2 hours to finally remove it (after scoring all my knuckles). I’m sure if I had the proper tools it would have been a 20 minute job.

Ben was/is Compass Trailers: Compass Trailers Tel. 07921 853190 - Contact Us , and has a very good reputation.

I nearly called him last month to see if he could service my big twin axle Bramber in Poole, as trying to replace a sealed Alko bearing with just hammers and drifts is a right pain. In the end I just bought a cheapish hydraulic press instead and did the job myself, and thankfully nothing was majorly stuck!

May be he wanted it done properly so that the wheel studs didn't break
