1977 zodiac mark 2

Hi all, I thought I would post a picture of my old school zodiac. It's a 1977 and still going strong. It has a 40 hp mariner which is an upgrade of the 25hp I have been running for the last several years. I just got a new trailer so I am looking forward to not inflating this thing at the boat ramp!!!

Thanks,

Chris

Wow. That's really amazing. I love the OEM oars. Have you had any serious work done to it besides some of the cosmetic stuff (extra D-rings and newer side rubbing strake)? If I'm not mistake, in 1977, they had a small skirt across the bow. What happened to that?

It never had the skirt when I got several years ago. I always wondered what the mounting holes were for!! The previous owner had the transom reglued but other than that it is basically original. I thought those rubber strikes were aftermarket. They are PVC rubber glued to the Hyplon, so I have had to reglue them a couple of times.

RIBase
I still have the OEM 2-part oars for a 1986 model that I still use. Quality bits of kit - as long as you stay on top of waterproofing them with several coats of varnish!
