1981 Zodiac mkII gt hypalon or pvc?

Refitting a 1981 Zodiac...need to re attach the floor is places...Were the 91 Zodiacs PVC or Hypalon...how can you tell? Best glue and techniques? Especially what NOT to do or Not to use...

Should be hypalon.

Best bet is to reglue darn near everything.

Could be Hypalon, could be Strongon (PVC) which looks similar to hypalon and construction is the same,but glue is different.

Do the sandpaper test-hypalon will create dust, PVC won't.

In 1981, the GT boats were the red versions of their standard inflatables, which was a fairly new colour for Zodiac at that time. The cones at the end of the tubes were black. I believe they were still hypalon.

OK..its not red but gray.....we thought 1981 based on the hull number...

I don't know how to interpret that series if letters/numbers.

From my perspective, all bets are off.

Can u post some pics of the boat and the transom plate?

The red boat in the bottom left corner with the scuba tank in it is what a 1981 MarkIIGT would have looked like.
