Inspect the transom for rot.
Inspect the valve bases. They sometimes dry rot, which requires cutting the old one from the tube.
It is not usually for Hypalon/csm to develop creamer leaks from the seams with age. These leaks are usually very slow and can be sealed with internal sealant.
