Hi

I have not used that particular launching point as I live in Scotland and did not had the chance to come over there, but I am willing to help and I had a quick look on the maps / street views

Thanks, Manus, and everyone else, for your comments. It seems that the consensus is that the North Wales coast isn't really conducive to easy launching.

I don't think Rhyl has been mentioned on this thread. This page refers to slipway self-launching:

Looking at the ops location & the obvious lack of facilities around this might be the best suggestion of the thread [emoji106]
Take a look here https://planetradio.co.uk/clyde/loca...erty-bargains/

Most places there is free launching & often free parking. We recently launched at drummore left the car & trailer for a few days & the harbour trust guy met us to show us where to launch & park , loads of space & lots of houses around to keep an eye on things. He even volunteered to act as a shore contact to check in with for outward & return jouneys & offered to get his waders on to help recover, which we declined. The trust ask for a small donation & when I handed the guy £20 he was 'thats far too much' he took it eventually & I thought it was a bargain. Loads of places just like that up in Scotland & the property prices make it an attractive proposition.
