Are the 3.8m Bombard Aerotec any good for fishing , I have read on a dealers web site that there no good due to deck design ?

I do have a 3.1 quicksilver Airdeck just ive not seen much info/reviews.

Ultimately a solid floor SIB may be better due to the fact you can fix gear more easily to the floor and no additional protection is needed but for the Aerotec or any other airfloor a simple thick rubber mat material or similar will protect it.
