Aerotec with Suzuki 20hp 4 stroke

Anyone running this combo? It's the lightest of the four strokes by a considerable margin and all the UK dealers for the boat say it's the best new combo.

Comments welcome?

Thanks

Not running one, but 44kg is very light for a 4 stroke.

Weight will be fine (My 2 stroke 25hp weighs about the same) and performance will be OK. I would think it will plane with 4 adults on board.

Have had a Suzuki DF20 for nearly a year now and just recently purchased an Aerotec. Not tried it yet on the Aerotec but it's been great on my 3.5m Zodiac with enough power to plane easily with 4 adults aboard. With 2 up we can also tow a ringo.
Too early to comment on long term reliability, but so far has performed flawlessly. Instant starting and good economy thanks to EFI, and at 44kg just about ok to manhandle solo.
Teamed up with the 43kg Aerotec it should make a lightweight fun package.

Thats impressively light for a four stroke especially a 20. The lightest 15 2 stroke is the Mariner Mercury at 36 kg and most are 38+.

How does pick up compare to a 2 smoke?

Don't really know how it compares to same hp 2st but would imagine hole shot is marginally slower.
However on Loco's somewhat condescending thread on AV plate height, 3 seconds to get on the plane seems rather pedestrian for my set up!!🚤😄
