Aluminium/composite Bench Seat Help

Hi All,
Can anyone help me source some aluminium/composite etc to make two bench seats for my honwave 3.8? I shopped around for two new ones but the dealer wanted £180.... surely if I can source the he material I can make them? I'd like the proper ones but crikey! I'm gonna put padded seat covers on for comfort anyway.
Any help or advice would be appreciated (or genuine seats).
Tony

I used marine ply and covered it with vinyl. Got a couple of brackets for about 20 quid

Second the wood option, paint the wood then fit a pre cut sheet of aluminium or tread plate (available in eBay cut to size) on the top of the wood and also the bottom if you want it to match, it will not be so easy to fabricate a new whole seat out of a sheet of aluminium and fabricators will probably charge the same or more than a new seat.
Wood paint and metal sheets should come to under £50

I didn't realise how difficult it was to source the aluminium they use to make
bench seats on an inflatable boat, I have 2 on my prowave so I know they are made but sod it I think I'll heed your advice chaps and make some out wood!
Thanks for the enlightenment.

Another thought is. . . . Metal tape it's about 0.5 - 1mm thick and comes in rolls or strips you could stick that straight on to under coated replacement seats to give a metal look finish
