Owner had bad knee, and got rid of everything related to boating .

I had my eye on a 15hp listed as long shaft but was actually short. He's decided to keep it for the time being but will let me know if he changes his mind.
That one looks tidy albeit a fairly early version I think?

Yes it's a 1977. Johnson & Evinrude changes their decals on the cowl every year , so to determine the age simply look at a replica decal website and match the logo to the corresponding year .

When someone decides to keep it or sell it to another buyer , what has worked for me in the past was simply offering the seller a little more money.
