Anybody with experience buying a SIB/RIB from Defender?

Interested in reports of a good or bad experience buying a SIB or RIB from Defender in the US, especially of shipping and handling, especially to Canada. Thanks!

I think Slance (a member on here) works at Defender. At least he seems to offer up a lot of their stock for sale. Take a look at his posts on the NA forum (also in the For Sale portion.)

Ordered hypalon 2 part glue, D-rings, thrust board, fibreglass seat, 303, brackets, fuel line, and a few other items and shipped them to a mailbox just south of the border. All items were very well packaged (bordering on excessive - extra steps taping containers / spray bottles shut before packaging) and in good shape.

Before ordering I sent an email about one product and received a prompt reply, phoned with a question about the cleats that came with bow bag and hypalon compatibility, person did not have an answer so got another person to call me back the next day.

So though could perhaps pay a little less elsewhere on individual items would order from them again any time.

West Marine - will simply say never again (they have no issue with shipping items other than described in text or shown in photos...).

I ultimately bought a Zodiac WB 465 from Defender and had it shipped to Canada and the whole experience was excellent. Defender FTW!
