I also made two new seats for the Aircat, which I'd like to share with you guys...

18mm ply, doubled up to add additional strength...

Glued and screwed down...

Any holes filled, edges rounded and sealed with a shellac primer...

Painted grey and was mega pleased with the result. Much stronger than the OEM seat and matches perfectly...

I was so pleased with the result that I made another one so we now have two seats

I wonder if the ventilation issues would have been the same with your original load (2 adults + kids) after fitting a cupped prop?
Nice work on the benches, it look very neat.

Given it was ventillating when I was on my own previously and now its not with the cupped prop, I wouldn't think so Steve. But testing on the water would be the only way to know 100%. It was too chilly for the kids when I took her out last unfortunately.

Enjoy your new outfit. The T38 with 20hp will be a huge step up for the family.

Thanks Fenlander. I haven't picked it up yet but will do in a couple of weeks. When I do so, I'll be sure to inflate it indoors as per ribnet tradition

Indoors is just a guideline. The Rules state it must be in your primary living space while your significant other has stepped out. Pets in the boat are optional and you get extra points for living to tell the tale.

I think I can manage that. Do small children count as pets?
