AquaParx 330

Hi all,

Just starting my research before getting into this hobby!

I'm after a SIB that I can transport easily inside my 4x4 and have stumbled across the AquaParx 330. Are these more like 'toys' as the price suggests (£299 New) or would this be a good starter for a family of 4 to mess about on lakes and rivers?

Thanks.

When you say 'better', what is actually the problem with the AquaParx and what makes it 'worse' than other brands please?

By the way, I'm not looking for something that will last me 25 years !!

Thanks.

Just called the dealer. They are 3 layer PVC, 600 denier with 3 chambers and a 3 piece marine ply floor.

Is that comparable with 'better' brands?

I see the solid floor & keel (essential in my opinion) are £169 extra which brings it to the used price of something far more robust. There is a YouTube online where the owner says he doesn't reckon the floor will last a year... they easily last 30-40yrs in better boats. If that same quality carries across to the tubes I'd be wary of using it on the water.

I have looked into these.

They are category d water. (Your duck pond)

Better brands are cat C

They are made from 600 denier. 3 layer... As apposed to most other which are 900denier 3 layer.

Tube size is same as alot of other cheaper brands. Around this size boat.

Or the following brand have been "tried and tested"

To name a few

Honwave
Europa sport
Waveline
Seapro
Zodiac
Avon
Sunsport

I know someone with a hydroforce ?mirovo? They are cat C and seem to get good reviews. But I'm not sure my money would be going there.

No problem. Obviously don't let us tell you what you can and can not buy. But I wouldn't want to hear you being disappointed.

Budget of around £470 which would have been that boat and floor. I will see what's around for that price for you.

Thank you, I'll need an OB too. Probably around 6hp (preferably quiet for rivers) with total budget around £800. I'm Kent too, so hopefully they're not all in Scotland!!!

If you are only going displacement speeds no need to go 6 hp. 3 hp will be fine and much lighter

Dennis

Have a look on Ivan burdfield marine website. He sells used inflatables and engines. Although a bit over priced. May do you a deal if there is something you like.

Your in a good location I would say to pick up a bargain. Loads seem to get advertised around those parts
