Avon Rover 3.1 - we've downsized!

After a few seasons with our very roomy (for its size) and stable Honwave 3.5AE & 15hp Mariner a change in family needs/boating enthusiasm has prompted a downsize so at least we are still able to get on the water... the alternative was giving up entirely for a few years.

So the Honwave and Mariner have gone to be replaced with a Avon Rover 3.1 and 1980s Mariner 4hp 2-stroke.

Image shows what a classic little boat it is... and great condition. Light to move about, very quick/easy to assemble and folds into a small package for garage storage.

We'll lower our outing aspirations to estuary exploring and local river until I find a slightly larger outboard for more extended trips.

I always liked the 1970s grey Zodiac 3m we owned a while ago and this, with it's sturdy Hypalon build, gives the same sort of feel. We were lucky it came with Trem wheels, bow dodger, Avon seat bag, pump, original storage bags and an extra seat plus original instructions for boat and outboard so it's a nice complete setup.

Looks a nice tidy boat , i too down sized a few years ago personally for me the better .
My next door neighbour has the same model as yours though a really old one " still going strong"
