Just to add , I saw a guide on the net that says that if I look through the valve and it's the same colour inside as outside it's upvc , which it is but then it says if I rub it with sand paper and it produces a fine dust , which it also does it's hypalon . Just to confuse things on some guides I have typhoon as a make , which it says it's upvc , is that the same boat as mine ?

I'm really trying to sort out a small leak before the wknd and any help would be really appreciated

Thanks
